One of the first questions we get asked is what does Luthando mean? Luthando (Loo-TAWN-Doe) is the Xhosa word for love, so Luthando Africa simply means “Love Africa”. That is the final goal of all the work that Luthando hopes to accomplish. This will be done through multiple programs that all tie back into the goal of enabling South Africans to change their own society with a minimum amount of interference from the outside.
